We have about four months to go until the wedding. Starting to feel a little stress but really just getting more excited!!

Working on putting our invitations together! Delegating rentals of tables and chairs to Larry. And figuring out logistics.

Venue Visit

Yesterday we went to our venue and met with our day of coordinator Tara and our friend Wendy who will be doing our flowers. It was so exciting to actually plan out where everything is going to be and discuss all of the logistics of everything.

There have been some changes to the venue which include a new dance floor. A curfew on music of 10:00pm and the possibility of a new barn being built.

Despite these changes I think everything is going to turn out beautifully. At least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself. At the end of the day my guests are not going to know if "the lemons" made it out on the tables. It's a running joke between our planning friends.

Until next time.

Target Deal!

On New Years Eve Larry and I did what we normally do and perused Target. We were among the hustle and bustle of people getting last minute items for their night if debauchery. One girl had her hair in curlers!

On our way out we came across some of the holiday clearance items. A whole shelf of the clear plastics champagne flutes were on sale for $2.09 for an 8 pack. Larry quickly checked the price on his iPhone and found out that it would be cheaper to just buy 23 packs for the wedding than ordering them in bulk.

So we loaded up our cart! We will have real wine glasses and water glasses for the reception but I think it's safe to assume that for the champagne toast we can just have the plastic disposable flutes.

DIY Decorations

Time to get a lot of my DIY decorations done now since I have a nice break from work!

I did some after holiday shopping with my mom and sister at Michael's and purchased these baskets for 1.00 each! Decided to re-purpose them and make them look shabby chic for the wedding.  The crackle effect is super easy to do!  See the steps and final product below!

Step 1. Spray paint the baskets black.

Step 2. Cover them in a thin layer of glue.

3. Final coat with white acrylic paint.
When it dries the final product creates the vintage crackle effect.

Save the Date Holiday Card

So we shared some of our engagement photos with you and now it is time to share with you what we did for our Save the Date Holiday Card.

We were so pleased with our engagement photos from Ken Kienow Photography that naturally we wanted to share the photos with our friends and families.  The holidays are just around the corner and our timeline says that we are supposed to send our save the dates this month!  So naturally we thought, maybe we should share our Holiday Cheer and our happy news for next year.

We ordered our Save the Date Holiday Cards from Tiny Prints.  After perusing the pre set cards we found a format that we loved and they turned out so amazing!  I added a couple of DIY touches such as our personalized return address labels and the "special delivery" stamp for the front.

Until our next wedding planning adventure!
